The Scottish Executive is at the heart of all that happens in the Scottish public sector. It has rightly placed great importance on taking an evidence based approach to developing policy. This has led to a more rigorous approach to analysing responses to consultation exercises and monitoring and evaluating the impact and outcomes of new policies and initiatives.
