Hexagon Launches Social Survey Division



Hexagon Research and Consulting’s Social Survey Division was launched recently with the award of a major contract to carry out a survey of 16,000 tenants on behalf of Glasgow Housing Association.

The Division has full service capability, offering a wide range of quantitative data collection approaches:

  • Face to face interviews – through a Scotland-wide social survey field force trained to IQCS standards, the highest level of quality control in the social survey industry

  • Telephone interviews – with the opportunity for rapid results through CAPI (Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing)

  • Postal surveying – working in partnership with our specialist mailing company to generate accurate and cost effective mail outs

  • On-line surveying – providing a highly cost effective and targeted approach to data collection


Recently the Division has won contracts to establish and run Citizens’ Panels for:
A contract to collect linked social survey and house condition data on the private rented sector in Angus was also awarded by Angus Council to help them prepare for the planned introduction of the registration of private landlords.
